Glenwood, Autism & Behavioral Health Center was started 35 years ago to provide education, treatment services and research for individuals with autism and emotional disorders. Today, one in 110 children born will be diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Glenwood’s services are uniquely valuable and greatly needed. Glenwood is a leader and expert in the field of autism through an array of over 20 new and innovative programs for children and adults. For many families, Glenwood offers the only hope they have for their child to receive an education, treatment and understanding.
Glenwood’s main campus is located in Birmingham, AL on 360 acres. Our current services include: Preschool Program; Diagnosis & Evaluation; Outpatient Therapy for individuals, couples, families and groups; Home Intervention; School Based Consultation; Summer Day Treatment; Teacher Training; Occupational Therapy; Speech Therapy; Early Intervention Programs; Adult Day Habilitation; Education & Day Treatment Services and Residential Services for children and adults.
